Containers for concentrated juices

Steel drum (cylindrical) 210 l

A cylindrical steel drum with a removable lid (rolled-on or with a ring) is the world standard for juice concentrate containers. A special aseptic or polyethylene liner (bag) is placed inside the drum, into which the product is filled. The drum itself does not come into contact with the juice, acting as a strong protective frame.

Technical characteristics and dimensions:

• Nominal capacity: 210 litres.
• Drum height: 882 mm (± 5 mm). This height is optimal for stacking drums in two tiers inside a standard sea container.
• Internal diameter: 564 mm (± 5 mm).
• External diameter over the corrugations (stiffening ribs): 597 mm (± 5 mm). The corrugations prevent deformation of the body during impacts and stacking.
• Metal thickness: Bottom and lid — 1.0 mm, body — 0.9 mm.
• Empty drum weight (tare): from 19 to 21 kg.

Steel drum (conical) 217 l

The conical drum has the shape of a truncated cone (narrowing towards the bottom). The main advantage of this design is the logistics savings when returning empty containers. Empty conical drums nest one inside another (like plastic cups), which makes it possible to transport several times more empty drums in one vehicle compared to cylindrical ones.

Technical characteristics and dimensions:

• Nominal capacity: 217 litres (slightly more than the standard due to the geometry).
• Drum height: 960 mm.
• Upper internal diameter (wide part): 560 mm.
• Lower internal diameter (narrow part): 480 mm.
• Empty drum weight: 16-18 kg (usually lighter than a cylindrical one due to the smaller wall thickness, since the cone itself provides rigidity).

IBC tote 1000 litres

IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container) or "Eurocube" is a medium-capacity plastic container enclosed in a rigid welded metal cage (frame) and mounted on a pallet (wooden, plastic or metal). IBC totes are ideal for large consumers, since one tote replaces almost five standard drums, reducing the time for pumping the raw material.

Technical characteristics and dimensions:

• Volume: 1000 litres.
• Length: 1200 mm.
• Width: 1000 mm.
• Height: 1175 mm.
• Empty container weight (bottle + cage + pallet): about 60.5 kg (± 5 kg).

The tote is equipped with a filling neck on top (with a sealed lid) and a drain valve in the lower part for convenient emptying without the use of pumps (by gravity).
